Women in Tech Mentoring Programme
Length of the Course
Do you want to move your career forward? Or would you like to develop your leadership skills as well as help others advance their careers?
Our 6 month 1:1 mentoring program connects women and underrepresented genders early in their careers with experienced professionals from all backgrounds working in the tech industry (both technical and non-technical roles). By being matched with a mentor you will be given the opportunity to gain a positive role model who will be able to help and guide you to reach your potential.
A mentoring relationship offers reciprocal benefits for mentors willing to invest their time in supporting and developing other professionals. As well as giving back to others and making the difference, being involved in mentoring can also help you develop your leadership style and being exposed to fresh perspectives, ideas and approaches.
This programme will last for 6 months, and we will expect you to commit between 1 and 2 hours per month. If agreed between mentor and mentee, the time commitment could increase.
- To be a mentee you will identify as a woman or an underrepresented gender, as well as being at early stages of your career. You are already working in the tech industry or aspiring to do so in either a technical or non-technical role.
- To be a mentor you will need to be an individual with relevant experience in the technology industry whether that is a technical or non technical role. There’s not a minimum of years of experience as long as you feel comfortable guiding someone.
If you are considering being a mentor but have never participated in a mentoring programme before, that is ok. We will provide you with some tools and guidance before the programme starts.
Register your interest! If you are not a member of our community yet, you will be asked to sign up first before you can complete the programme registration form.
Registration will be open until the 30th April. We will be contacting you at the beginning of May to fill out a specific mentor or mentee form that will then help us find you a match. We will then try to match you with a mentor or mentees based on your motivation, goals and experience. If there is no match, we will let you know.
We endeavour to start the mentoring programme in June, and places will be limited.
